The Las Vegas area will be the home to two new ultra luxury communities – The Summit Club in Summerlin and Ascaya in Henderson.  Both communities have broken ground and will be among the priciest neighborhoods.

Ascaya – is a custom estate community comprising of 313 lots that are considered to be among the most exquisite home sites in the entire Las Vegas Valley. Ascaya is situated 1000 ft above the valley floor in the Mc Cullough Range in Henderson – these lots will include stunning panoramic views of the entire valley.

The long-delayed mountain-mansion project in Henderson is being developed by Hong Kong tycoon Henry Cheng, whose family was buying land in the Henderson Mountains as far back as 1990. Ascaya has sold their first lot — a 0.46-acre parcel for $925,000.

Ascaya is building the ultimate clubhouse – a 22,000-square-foot clubhouse that will include a resort-style pool, a large pool with separate lap-swimming area and Jacuzzi. There will be poolside cabanas and event lawn and shaded entry courtyard with water features and artwork.  The entry offers a concierge desk leading to a main gathering room with bar, fireplace and seating areas and a shaded outdoor living room with fire elements -with seating views of the Strip.  The clubhouse will also include a multifunction room with private, children’s activity room with restrooms and an outdoor children’s play area with equipment.

There will be an exercise room, studio for yoga, palates and dance. An outdoor exercise lawn will be offered plus locker rooms with lounge area and showers, three spa treatment-massage rooms, two tennis courts with shaded viewing pavilion and two levels of parking.

The Summit Club – is being developed by Discovery Land Company and The Howard Hughes Corp. in Summerlin.  They plan to build about 250 luxury homes just south of The Ridges, in the foothills near Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area.  The community is expected to open late next year. It will offer lots for custom homes priced at $2 million to $10 million, the most expensive in the Las Vegas Valley.

The Summit Club will feature a Tom Fazio 18 hole golf course and a two- to three-story clubhouse. The club will offer “farm-to-table restaurants,” a fitness center, spa, indoor basketball court, children’s center and organized activities such as wellness programs, clubs, hikes and mountain biking.

The joint venture on 555 acres of land will produce Summerlin’s most exclusive luxury community, consisting of the most scenic and secluded land only minutes from Downtown Summerlin.  The residents of The Summit Club will also enjoy access to all the amenities of a Summerlin address, including more than 150 miles of trails, more than 150 parks, nine golf courses, top-notch private and public schools and an offering of special events, classes and programs exclusively for those who live in the Summerlin community.
