Bonnie Springs Ranch is now known as The Ranch At Red Rock. In an article today posted at the Review Journal, the developers of this new project spoke of the the new Ranch at Red Rock housing development.
The developers, CSR Development have broken ground on the 63 acre guard gated luxury community. There was a huge backlash last year over the announcement that the historical Bonnie Springs Ranch was going to be sold to developers. There are many who feel that the expanding new construction of not just this development but the Hughes properties, are encroaching into the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area.
There was a press release issued that you can view here.
The last paragraph states, “CSR Development is working closely with world-renowned landscape architects, naturalists, botanists, and the Bureau of Land Management to achieve their sustainable approach to development, which focuses on respectful, environmentally-conscious planning. Encouraging butterfly migratory patterns, protecting pathways for other native animal species, and promoting the growth of sustainable vegetation are only a few items on a long list of habitat conservation plans; plans approved and applauded by a number of local and national organizations including Save Red Rock and Friends of Red Rock.”
Residential lots in The Ranch at Red Rock, as Bonnie Springs is now known, range from 2 to 4 acres and cost $3 million to $6.5 million apiece, developer Joel Laub said Friday. They intend to create public space including an “events barn” and will have restaurants within the development. From what I read, there will be 20 home sites where the buyers will be responsible for hiring a builder. I can assume there will be some kind of oversight as to the design so that it fits within the vision of the development. I would also assume, there would be guidelines on lighting as to have the lowest impact regarding light pollution within the conservation area.

The property is represented by Synergy Sotheby’s International Realty and lots have already been reserved. If you are interested in building a new custom home at The Ranch at Red Rock and have yet to secure a buyer’s agent, I would love to represent you.
