Anthem Highlands has eleven individual neighborhoods, with three that are gated, named after cities in Scotland: Sommerville, Portpatrick, Glengarry, Clermont, Calgary, Montrose, Avondale, and Inverness. The gated communities are Earlstone, Haddington, and Edinburgh.
The community is at the southern edge of the valley beside Black Mountain range and Sloan Canyon National Conservation Area. This location gives the neighborhood the best of both worlds — a feeling of remote privacy while still having easy access to plenty of amenities in a world-class metropolitan city.
Anthem Highlands Amenities

There’s no shortage of walking trails throughout the area, plus access to Black Mountain Trailhead and Anthem East Trailhead for hiking throughout Sloan Canyon National Conservation Area. Perched on the Black Mountain foothills, Anthem Highlands is the perfect location for those who like to feel close to nature but still have easy access to modern conveniences and amenities.
Anthem Highlands Retail Plaza features a variety of shopping and dining options: including Albertsons, Starbucks, Roberto’s, PT’s, Pizza Hut, CVS, Bank of America and Wells Fargo. The ever-growing St. Rose corridor is also close by, where you can find Costco, Hobby Lobby, and a wide range of popular restaurants and services. For upscale shopping boutiques, The District at Green Valley Ranch is just a short drive away. The community is also easily accessible to the I-15 freeway and the I-215, which takes you to all parts of the Las Vegas Valley within 45 minutes or less.
Anthem Highlands Golfing
If you love to golf, the Revere Golf Club is a beautiful award-winning public course located just a few minutes from Anthem Highlands in Sun City Anthem. The Revere’s 23,000 square foot clubhouse has a fully stocked golf shop, full-service restaurant and cocktail bar. Other nearby golf courses that garner rave reviews include Rio Secco Golf Club in Seven Hills, Southern Highlands Golf Club, and DragonRidge Country Club in MacDonald Highlands.
Anthem Highlands Schooling
Anthem Highlands has great public and private school options for the kids. Clark County School District (CCSD) options include Bill and Shirley Wallin Elementary School, Del Webb Jr High School and Liberty or Coronado High School. Wallin Elementary School is one of the best CCSD elementary schools available in the valley, and the middle school and high schools are highly rated as well. In addition, the nearby Pinecrest Academy Inspirada is a nationally STEM certified tuition-free public Charter School for grades K-8.
All in all, Anthem Highlands is a perfect community that’s often overlooked. It’s not as big or famous as the adjacent Inspirada or other parts of Anthem, but that’s part of its charm. Whatever you’re looking for in a new home, Anthem Highlands will definitely deliver.
