Lone Mountain Real Estate

The Lone Mountain Community is a neighborhood located in the North West of the Las Vegas Valley, and east of the Red Rock National Conservation Area. The Lone Mountain area derives its name from the detached and solitary hill that rises 560 feet above the surrounding area. This rocky craig provides excellent views of the Las Vegas Strip, Spring Mountain, and Mt. Charleston.

It is also encircled by a 10 foot wide, 3.2 mile perimeter trail for joggers, hikers, and horseback riders. It is located just north of Summerlin, and within this area are some of the most desirable homes in Las Vegas. While there is a proliferation of affluent new construction at the western foothills, there are still a number of horse ranches and natural terrain and parks which remain.

The  area is a paradise of rural living within the cityscape of Las Vegas. The Lone Mountain area is composed of a combination of small communities of spec-development homes, but the majority of the area has much larger custom-homes on large lots referred to as rural estates. Rural estates are plots of land and housing that allow for ranch and farm-style living, attributed to the large area that is capable of supporting such practices. The minimum lot acreage is a half-acre in the area. Here, you can raise animals, practice farming, and even enjoy recreation such as equestrian activities that normally the city life cannot provide.

Lone Mountain Recreation and Parks

Lone Mountain is full of recreational activities for those that desire a physical lifestyle. One such activity is helicopter touring, which you can experience firsthand if you go to GC Flight, a helicopter tour agency that tourists can visit if they want to experience a new form of adventure.
