Skye Canyon

Skye Canyon is one of the Las Vegas valley’s most premier master-planned communities. Initial development of this community began with the founder’s vision to create a welcoming environment that promotes a vibrant lifestyle for its residents. Initial construction began on a 1000-acre land in Las Vegas last 2016, and the community has now grown to house over 6500 homes of different types depending on what you need. They have entry-level, move-up, and luxury neighborhoods for you to choose from, with houses primarily developed by two builders: Century Communities and Toll Brothers. The community was designed to foster connections between its residents and it certainly delivers.

Skye Canyon Amenities

Skye Canyon is inside the world-class city of Las Vegas, particularly to its northwest near US 95. It is conveniently located to multiple amenities in Las Vegas, but that does not mean that it does not have amenities of its own.

It has the Skye Canyon marketplace that offers a variety of stores, dining options, professional services, and more. It is anchored to Smith’s marketplace, and is the destination’s one-stop shop that features a full-sized grocery store, household and decor store, family apparel, and a drive-through pharmacy. There are currently future plans for expansion, which includes additional services such as boutiques, restaurants, cafes, and more.

Skye Canyon Recreation

The community’s main recreational activity area is Skye Canyon Park, where your active lifestyle kicks into action. It is a 15-acre gathering hub and has world-class amenities right outside your door. Skye Canyon Park has Skye Fitness, and Skye Center. 

Skye Center is the heart of Skye Canyon, and is a beautiful 8,000 sq.ft. contemporary community center. Residents can gather together for hangouts and other meetups, while enjoying the gorgeous views that can easily be shared with friends and other social networks as it has the luxury of free Wi-fi. Skye Center has stone fireplaces, a BBQ patio, and indoor and outdoor spaces for impromptu gatherings and other activities.

Skye Fitness covers almost 10,000 sq.ft. of land and is fully equipped with top-of-the-line amenities for people to pump up the adrenaline and enjoy fitness and sports. Those looking to improve their fitness can enjoy the use of the high-quality exercise equipment, and yoga room. Residents looking to engage in sports can use the outdoor Junior Olympic swimming pool, multi-use sports field, and basketball court. Skye Fitness is also exclusively for residents and is part of the HOA.

Skye Canyon Parks

Outside of Skye Canyon Park, the area also offers other alternatives for those looking for a new experience. There is Eagle Canyon park located in the community’s phase 1 where kids can enjoy a Tot Lot play area, a Splash Pad, shaded gazebos, picnic areas, and restrooms. Sports-goers can take advantage of the basketball court and a sports field as well.

There is also Sky View Park in the community’s Phase 2 that features a covered play area, two pickleball courts, a tennis court, two dog parks, and shaded picnic areas. The park also comes with restroom facilities. There is also Big Skye Park, located off Skye Park Drive that comes with a spacious play field and special areas for dogs of all shapes and sizes.

The community is also developing Starlight Park, soon to come in the community’s Phase 3. It will feature green spaces, two playing fields, a shaded area, a covered tot lot, and a basketball court with lights.

Skye Canyon Schooling

Skye Canyon is equipped with various schools for children of all levels. K-5 Elementary students can go to William & Mary Scherkenbach Elementary School, James Bilbray Elementary School, and Kenneth Divich Elementary. Middle-Junior High students can go to Ralph Cadwallader Middle School and Edmundo Escobedo Sr. Middle School. Senior high students have Arbor view High School. The community also has a charter school, Somerset Academy Skye Canyon Campus.
