Las Vegas and especially Henderson has been making the national news lately regarding record setting homes that have sold here. Many of the high-end luxury home buyers have been coming from California. They are selling their homes in California for a premium price and laying down huge sums of money from their previous equity here and are actually getting much more luxurious homes. Recently, Gene Simmons, The KISS star nabbed a 6-bed, 8-bath palace in Henderson with 11,000 square feet of living space and distinctively modern features … like a floating pathway entrance over a koi pond and floor-to-ceiling glass walls for just over $8 million.
Billionaire LoanDepot founder Anthony Hsieh just purchased this home for $25 Million, setting and all-time high record in Henderson. Another home just set a record in Ascaya for $14.69 Million. The transaction comes as the Las Vegas Valley continues its record-setting luxury sales pace in 2021. Meanwhile, a newly built Blue Heron showhome in MacDonald Highlands listed for $28 million is under contract. There have been 56 sales of $4 million and above for single-family homes in the valley so far in 2021, not counting the one recorded Thursday in Ascaya. That’s five more sales of $4 million and above than were recorded in all of 2020.
The most expensive residential sale in the area was previously recorded as a $17.55 million mansion west of Las Vegas in Summerlin and owned by magician David Copperfield. Las Vegas luxury homes typically list for less than $1 million, according to the June 2021 Institute for Luxury Home Marketing luxury market report.
